We Came Home to This

Wildfire Rose, Fairfield Glade. May 31, 2009.

When Betsy and I got home Saturday night from our trip to North Carolina we found the beauty above in our rose garden.  Wildfire is one of our favorite roses, but I’m not sure any picture can do it justice.  Wildfire is a red-orange-yellow blend and which color is dominant depends somewhat on the lighting.

But trust me — Wildfire is a beautiful rose.

Whew, that is some burst of color..I can see how it would be tough to pick out what color was being dominant … so many hues in one rose!!! Very nice!

If it is any prettier than the picture, it must be breathtaking! And I love the name….there is a Zane Grey book titled Wildfire. About a horse, then there is the song Wildfire–again about a horse.

This rose is stunning! I’ve tried growing roses but not with the success you seem to have.
