Skywatch Friday: Cresent Moon

Crescent Moon in the evening sky, Fairfield Glade, Tennessee. April 18, 2010.

This is my post for Skywatch Friday, a meme for sharing views of the sky from all over the world.  To see more, or to join and share your own photos of the sky, click HERE.

Last Sunday (April 18) evening I was outside putting things away as it was getting dark and I noticed this crescent moon up in the sky.  Naturally I had to grab my camera and get a picture to share with you.

    Perfect!
I tried taking a picture of it the night after the new moon phase and Venus was so bright beside it, but all I got were two blobs of light. 😉

Great shot at just the right time, because I love the sky as well! It’s not quite dark, so it’s that pretty deep indigo.

I really do need to get back out at night…I have missed so many good shots like this. This is really nice.

This is a repeat…just as I hit submit I realized I better check the link back to my blog…I knew I had done something wrong. This one should work.
